My name is Scott Maney – hence the “ManeyActs”. I am an inquisitive and versatile person who loves variety in the daily round. After thirteen years in retail, specialising in electronics, I spread my wings and traveled to the USA to work in the summer camps that are such a feature of American life. Having been a gymnastics coach since leaving school, I extended my abilities to encompass Flying Trapeze and other circus skills, and for five years I divided my year into two parts – the northern summer coaching in the USA and the southern spring through to autumn back at the electronics retailer I’d worked for since my teens.

At the same time, I expanded my coaching skills by becoming a children’s entertainer for my former gymnastics coach. In between driving a double-decker bus to children’s parties, where I would put youngsters from 5 to 15 through a recreational gym circuit, I also became involved in developing and managing databases for the gym school and elsewhere. My interest in photography grew as I took photos and videos of gymnasts and dancers in America and Australia. I became fascinated by the body in movement and the possibility of catching those breathtaking moments at the height of a jump or the blur of a turn. Soon people were asking me to do an amazing range of jobs for them, from photographing a ballet school concert to building websites and so Maneyacts was born.

My interests keep this business operational. Drawing on twenty years’ experience in the fields mentioned above, I love to use my varied life experience to help others. I have travelled not only to the USA but also to Europe and Japan. I look forward to further travels to see what else this wonderful world has to offer me – and you!
